Covering projects throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of professional experience or a combination of experience and related training and perform the following duties:  TYPICAL ASSIGNMENTS Construct components and subunits or adapt standard equipment and/or assemble, construct or deconstruct simple or standard equipment or parts, service or repair simple instruments or equipment Conduct a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens', adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors  Follow specific design layouts to construct components and subunits Assist in design modification Apply comprehensive technical knowledge for complex installation/troubleshooting of FAA constructing components and electronic equipment that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents Work typically requires detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and the ability to extract engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources Processing data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form.
