We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Load Planner for our Downers Grove, IL corporate office. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of dispatching experience in the transportation industry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Handle all inbound and outbound dispatching for an assigned territory
Match inbound loads with outbound loads to maximize efficiency
Set appointments (origin and destination) as needed to effectively match loads
Negotiate drayage rates with vendors to achieve cost savings that are in line with load efficiency
Communicate effectively with vendors and all Hub offices
Work with vendors to find “outside" freight that will achieve greater cost savings while dispatching
Complete other projects and duties as assigned
